I just bought and candle, and on the way back to the car I dropped the bag it was in. The bottom of the glass is completely shattered and now I can't burn the candle like normal. What do I do now? Is it ruined?

Last summer around noon I tried to light a candle with a magnifying glass. It smoked a lot but didn't actually light. Is it possible? Has anyone done it?

I have seen them on ebay, however I can not find them anymore. I can find the medium and small ones, however they don't have the candle holders.
