if you melt different colors of candle wax together from those little tea lights ( using a stove) will the colors swirl or combine and make an ugly dark color?

I burn a scented candle in my room most of the time I’m in. Wondering if the smoke from the candle is bad for your health? Are alternatives like soy candles better?
