I have a pretty colored glass jar and thought that it would be nice with a small candle in it. If I don’t put the lid on, can I light a candle in there? Do I need to put sand on the bottom or anything? Thanks

   The only problem with putting a candle in it is that the wax will melt and coat the bottom of the jar. Many candles come in jars and you can burn them in the jar with no problem, as long as you don’t mind if the candle wax gets all over the bottom of the jar. And, blow them out instead of snuffing them out with the lid. Snuffing them causes a bunch of soot to collect on the insides of the jar.
