I have a beautiful glass hurricane as the centerpiece on our dining table. I like to switch out its contents and colors based on the season (sea glass and a light colored candle for summer, silver balls during the holidays, artificial apples, pears, or lemons in the spring) What else could I use that would be different?

I put all kinds of stuff in mine. Buttons, different colored sand (craft stores sell it) in levels, shells, spools of thread, little balls of yarn, ribbon roses, yo-yos, hanks of pearl necklaces, feathers, dried flowers, chili peppers, eucaliptus leaves (we have a tree) mini pumpkins & gourds, fake Easter eggs on colored Easter grass, Hershey’s kisses, heart shaped chololates, pine boughs, pine cones, reeds in scented oil, that is just what I’ve had in it recently.
