Ronin is correct but what happens to the glass is a physical change
The wax melts – physical reaction
The wick burns – chemical reaction
the glass heats up and the soot sticks to it, but no reaction occurs
soot from the candle is released by the candle and collects on the glass (physical). The wax ignites in the candle and releases this soot (chemical) :]
