    Ronin is correct but what happens to the glass is a physical change

    The wax melts – physical reaction
    The wick burns – chemical reaction
    the glass heats up and the soot sticks to it, but no reaction occurs

    soot from the candle is released by the candle and collects on the glass (physical). The wax ignites in the candle and releases this soot (chemical) :]
