The best thing to do is to apply heat to it so that it becomes loose and you can remove it. I would probably put the whole thing in the sink with very hot water to see if that gets it unstuck. Don’t put anything over a stove burner or else the wax may become so hot that it will explode. Be careful. ( I did that once when I was a kid so I know first hand what happens. I made a black mark on the kitchen ceiling and I don’t think I saw the end of my punishment for quite a while. I believe I was grounded for what seemed like forever!)

Try a little heat, maybe a hair dryer or some boiling water to unstick it.
