I have a ton of small 2oz candles in glass jars (they are kind thin).
They won’t light anymore, but I want to get the wax out, possibly to reuse, and get the jars clean.

So how do I do this? Boil or freeze?

either boil or get somthin like a lighter or torch and melt it and let it drip out… boiling would work best though…

Try putting it in the freezer for a few hours and then use a knife to get it unstuck from the edges.

Put them in a Large Skillet of Hot Water over a "Very Low Heat" and "Stand There" and Watch them until they come Moist and Loose, then transfer to?? :o )

Here’s what we do . . . place a paper towel down in your microwave and place the jar in the center. Start at like 30 seconds, then if no desired results (the wax is melted) go for 45 then a minute and so on until the wax is either very soft or completely melted. Carefully, using either a mitt, pot holder, dish towel, or a paper towel folded several times remove the candle holder (jar) and before the wax begins to cool, insert yet another paper towel to soak up all the melted wax. Use another clean paper towel to wipe off the last of the residue and this even removes any scorched (black, sooty) places on the inside of the jar, as well.

    Just be very careful!

Freeze it , then it should just pop out if you tap it lightly with a knife, or by scraping .
