I recently moved into a home that my sister used to live in and she left behind many of her glass belongings (like candle holders, vases, pots, etc.) and one by one they keep breaking. Is this just a sign that this isn’t her house anymore? Or could this be of negative significance?

Glass is made of sand. Sand and Glass are often a symbol of time (hourglass). So, it could show that time has passed, and it’s all going away. However, glass is also clear (mainly) but can contort how an image looks based on how you look through it or how it’s shaped. The breaking glass could symbolize that things are becoming clearer and more honest and how they truly are in your house. That, or the people in your house are really clumsy.

Maybe you should donate her glassware to a local charitable group.

Glass thins and weakens with age like most other things in this world. It probably has no signifigance other than its time to buy new stuff.
