I am looking for a candle holder and a lamp to save on electric. I need one that won’t damage my health and does not give off soot. Can anyone recommend one or has anyone been doing this themselves?

    if you get candles in a jar, eventually there is soot on the jar. The same with an oil lamp. You can either get oil lamps at thrift stores or walmart. Hope this helps. Roxanne

    I believe that beeswax candles do not give off soot. They are usually in specialty candle stores or maybe you can find an individual who makes them.
