I splashed candle wax on myself wearing a new shirt that has gold hearts and star decal stuff on it. Can I fix it without removing the decorative hearts and stars? I heard WD40 works, but wouldn’t that remove the designs? Can someone please please help me?

  1. Grama Gee says:

What has worked for me is to….Take a dry dish towel and place it over the top of the candle wax, then heat up your iron so its on a high setting and it will pull the wax up off the shirt. If there is a stain because of the candle being a color, you can use some shout and leave it sit for a bit and then wash it as usual

Put your shirt in the freezer for a few minutes. When the wax is frozen, it should pop off your shirt without hurting it.

try a damp clothe and a hot iron.

try a brown paper bag then an iron on top of it it should get it off

Direct your hot blow dryer on the wax. It will melt and you can wipe it off. If it was colored wax, you may still have to deal w/ the colored stain, but this has worked wonders on carpet that has seen MANY candle wax spills.
