The best method would to wait for the hair to grow out and then cut the hair carefully at the highest point possible.
Alternatively, try a warm bath and see if that loosens the wax slightly so that it can come off.
Cruel & funny….
Might have to cut the hair that has wax on it, yes I understand that the cat may look funny, but the hair will grow back.
if it wasn’t a scented candle, just leave it, it will wear off by itself. if it is scented wax, then you’ll have to treat it like it was your hair, and try gently pulling ot out.
Just cut it off, sure the cat might have a bald patch for awhile but it will grow back
i’m sure cats get all kinds of things in there fur in wild. leave it alone, eventually the fur that is covered will shed away. and she’s not a dog- if she licks it and it makes her sick, she will probably stop licking it (usually… unless not too bright-she did let wax drip on her). otherwise you could probably cut it out (that can’t be any more torture than peanut butter, dawn, ice and warm baths).
good luck.
I like to use an oxy acetylene rig. LOL. Dont worry about the cat getting sick wax won’t hurt her.
