So I left my candle burning for too long (my bad) and the glass container exploded spreading pink wax all over my white computer table and my hard wood floors. Not the real hard wood that fake stuff and I can’t remember what it’s called. So my husband is pretty pissed and I said I would clean it up. Well what’s the best way to clean it? Scrapping it doesn’t work well because it was oily candle wax so it doesn’t scrape well…

Help anyone?

Have u tried warming it up with a hair dryer and then scraping it off while its softer?

  3. William B says:

freeze it with a ice cube, it will peel right up

you might try to put a towel down and use a iron with steam that is what I use at work.

Try heating it up gently so it re-liquifies and then use something absorbant to soak it up.

For example: If you put absorbant paper over the wax & then put a warm clothes iron onto the paper the heat should melt the wax into the paper. Obviously, be careful not to burn the paper or surface by having the iron too hot. Or, try a hairdryer on a hot setting.

    might work..?

Paper and ironing always work for me, put paper on hardwood or carpet then ironing it, make sure not too hot. candle wax will stick into paper.
