I live in an apartment and awhile back I spilled my green candle wax on my light colored carpet, I tried soap and water, I have no idea how to get it out, if I can get it out. Help!
I’m a janitor at my church. After our candle light service on Christmas Eve, there were lots of drips of wax in the carpet. I used an iron and paper towels. Brown paper will work too. I got the iron as hot as I could and placed a paper towel on the spot- Ironing it until it leak through the paper towel, then move the paper towel until no more wax came up. Remember, the ‘wet’ spot is wax, so move the towel often. It didn’t ruin the carpet and look clean. I rubbed my hand over the carpet to make sure it was soft and not stiff.
Try a stiff wired brush and a portable hair dryer. Use the brush to get as much out as you can before you use the hair dryer to loosen the remainder up.
I hope this helps.
Heat it up. Use a hot iron with a very absorbent cloth between the carpet and the iron. The wax will melt again and absorb into the towel Good luck.
a hair dryer and a comb. plant the comb beneath the way in the fiber, then heat up with the hair dryer, pull up the comb, ta da! wax is in the comb!
Try Placing Ice Cubes On It! Ice Will Takes Candle Wax Out!
Carefully heat up an iron and lay a thin sheet over the candle wax and hold the iron just above the sheet. I had light colored carpet and spilled red candle wax. It was extremely hard to get out and it still discolored the carpet a bit but not as much as before.
