Generally the easiest way to remove candle wax from most things is an absorbent paper towel and a little heat.

    1. Place a paper towel on the waxy area.
    2. Use a gentle and controllable heat source (blow dryers work great) to gently warm the towel over the spot where the wax is. As the heat transfers to the wax it will melt and be directly absorbed by the towel. Important point here, heat the towel, not the wax. If you heat the wax then try to wipe it up, the cool towel just smears it around without absorbing it, and on a vertical surface heating the wax will likely cause it to drip making an even larger mess.
    3. Lift and adjust the towel in a blotting motion, never wipe or rub the towel on the spot. That just smears the wax out into a larger space, and worse, can press it into corners or crevices that are hard to get the towel into direct contact with the wax.

If the wax is directly on the screen your TV, check the manufacturers guide for proper cleaning procedures. They may have suggested products or cleaners if your screen has a special surface. Do not use anything that will break down the wax like Gum out and other cleaners, those substances could permanently damage the screen. If your TV is anything like mine it gets warm after a while by itself. Turn it on and let it warm up while keeping a towel on the spot, then try just keep blotting the area until nothing is absorbed. Then if your still able to see a ‘patch’ where the wax was, break out the hair dryer for a little extra heat to the towel, not the screen. Patience and careful application will win the day.
