A pretty large amount of candle wax spilled on our couch, my son’s favorite blanket, my jeans and my mom’s cotton shirt (favorite though) Everyone is okay, the flame went out, thank God. But…Can we get the wax out????
First, put some ice (in a plastic bag) on the wax to make it very cold. using a dull knife, scrape off as much as possible.
Then place a paper bag over the spot and apply a hot iron. The bag should absorb more of the residue.
If there is still wax left, you can try one of the chemical solutions available, like Weiman’s Wax Away, but test it first on an inconspicuous spot to make sure it won’t further damage your upholstery.
Good luck!
I think you can get some of it out of the clothes by putting paper towels over the wax and heating with a hot iron to blot the wax out.
put what you can in the freezer should pull right off when frozen
