My friend showed me this cool trick. You take a candle and put it on one of the candle warmers. It will turn liquid.
(this is the step I’m missing, i was out of the room) He then poured it onto something and let it cool. When I came back, he had circular flat pieces of wax we carved. What can I pour it on and make it not stick?

If you spray a light coating of oil on a surface, you will find the wax won’t stick. If the surface is very smooth, it won’t stick as easily. You can try parchment paper, used in baking, since it is slightly oily. Try to remove the pieces before they are fully hardened, but still stiff enough to handle.
