   Considering the availability of candles at Wal-Mart and other stores, unless you make them for a specific "niche" market you probably can’t sell them for enough to make a profit.

   The type of wax and style of candle, as well as the process of making them varies depending on their use.

   I suggest you obtain at least one book on the subject before investing money. Your local library should be able to help you there.
