What do I need to make a gel candle? or any kind of candle?
I am also interested in making soaps?

im not making candles, but making something similiar, i would like to know if anyone knows what site i can go on to find out "how to mix sand with fragance" what I need to do? how to mix and dry it? Do I cook it? I’m interested in making my own business in selling a product and I can not find a website to give me advise on how . I’m only finding websites on how to make wax candles, gel candles or sand candles…….please help someone

I’m trying to create this set of science jars for an art project. In about five or six jars, I’m going to put a creepy doll (made of fabric), a fake finger, a ring, a dead spider–and a few other things. I want them to be suspended in a greenish or yellowish liquid. I was thinking resin, but that’s a little pricey. Then I thought maybe gel candle wax–but I didn’t know if that would hurt the fabric on the doll.

Do you have any suggestions?

Maybe a margarita candle?, its like a gel candle but in a margarita glass….any ideas would be awesome.

Kind of cheap with in the 20-30$ range

So im a newly gel candle maker. And i do just what the instructions say. I hotglue the zinc wick to the bottom of the container. But when i pour the gel in the jar it un-glues or whatever. And then i have to struggle with trying to get the wick to stay in the bottom of the jar and straight. What can i do? And why is it doing that??? It does it everytime!!!! Also how do i melt the wax but keep it at 200 degrees because it keeps going way over that and i cant seem at any low setting on the stove to keep it at 200 or even under 230. Any other tips/tricks or things to avoid please let me know! Thank you to everyone who answers this!

I am a beginner and trying to start a business selling my gel candles. I make hand-poured, unique candles and am trying to figure out how to make a website for people to see my work and be able to order candles. I guess i need an e-commerce site for people to purchase things and I think I am supposed to set up a merchant’s acct. with paypal or credit cards or something. If anyone could please help me i would greatly appreciate it as I am a totally NOT computer savvy person, I just want to be able to sell my candles! thank you.

like i used to make gel candles and still have left over materials. i have scented oils to make the candles smell good but since i don’t make candles at this time i wanted to find other uses for them besides burning them in one of those oil burning dish thingies. i want to use this oil to oil my scalp since it’s dry and itchy and i don’t want to use any mineral oil or petroleum based gunk and T/gel doesn’t work.

is this not such a good idea or what? i don’t have the packaging that the oils came in so i don’t know if it’s harmful or not for hair but it’s safe to use in gel candles.
