I want to use them at my wedding reception on all the guest tables but need to know if i will have to replace them halfway through the night or if they will last the entire reception. I know gel burns longer than other waxes but i just don’t know how long.
Tea light candles typically burn from 2-4 hours. Candles made from vegetable waxes usually burn longer than candles made from paraffin wax. To make sure that your candles last through the entire reception I would use votive candles instead of tea lights.
1.) The length of time that a candle burns isn’t dependent on the manufacturer of the candle, but on the diameter of the candle and the density of the wax. For example, a taper candle (tall and skinny) will burn more quickly than a pillar candle (more an an inch or two in diameter).
A solid wax candle, being more dense, will burn more slowly than a honeycomb candle which is a little bit of wax with lots of air cells in it.
2.) The world’s longest burning unscented tea light candle. These are white candles poured inside clear cup tea light holders.
Lead time on these unscencted tea candles is about 4-6 days, we pour them custom for your order.
See "rush processing" if you need them sooner.
Each tea light candle is guaranteed to burn at least 6 hours that is 2 hours longer than standard store-bought tealight candles and 2 hours longer than the standard metal cup tea candles sold most other places.
***Our lab test has found burn times of 6.25 hours as a minimum 7.30 hours maximum with an average burn of 6.75 hours ***
Clear cup (acrylic cup) tea lights are not recommended for use in votive cups or any tight-fitting candle holder.
They need at least 1/2" of room around them for ventilation and the taller the holder the more room needed around the candle.
