    You use special wicks that have a tiny zinc wire at the core. Or you can use a wick that burns as fast as the gel.

    They make wick’s that have a small metal base. Have you tried using them? I would think that would add stability to the wick. I have never done this. It just sounded like it might work.

    Get some very thin wire and weave it through the wick a few times and attache it to the metal base. Then you can also hot glue the metal base to the bottom of the container.

    Where ever you are buying the gel for your candles,I’m sure they also have the wicks designed specifically for gel candles. If you are unable to find it at your shop try Michael’s or A.C.Moores. The wicks are readily available at both locations.
