A Mid-Summer Night's Dream Theme…?

K so our theme is (obviously) A Mid-Summer Night's Dream. Just wondering if anyone else has done this or is doing this and if you had any suggestions?...

K so our theme is (obviously) A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream. Just wondering if anyone else has done this or is doing this and if you had any suggestions?? I feel like I’m on the right track, but I also feel like there is so much more that I could do. Just to give ya an idea what I have going on so far…our centerpieces are white pillar candles that will be covered in fine grit gliiter (blue n white) and moss will be added to the bottom of the candle and around the holder…with blue n lavender flowers in it (marine blue n lavender are our main colors). My two flower girls will be wearing very elegant but fun looking fairy wings. There will be all kinds of butterflies n greenery n stuff like that around the room as well. Any suggestions would be tremendously helpful. Thank you!

    shakespearian music!
you could get the staff to dress up?
hire ballet students to be puck and others!
or get them ^^ to perform a section of the play
drape the ceiling in midnight blue and put up tiny fairy lights like stars
rose petals? you could get somone creative to make a huge crescent moon and hang it somewhere
have random staff/ballerinas hand out single roses or flit about throwing "fairy dust"
you could wear a fairy queen crown

tell me what you think – good luck x

The thing with having a theme is…less is more.

I think what you’ve done so far is great, but you’re getting close to the point where too much of a good thing is too much.

Are you dressing up? You and your husband could be Titania and Oberon – have the best man dress up as Bottom (donkey ears included!) As part of your vows you could recite your favourite parts of the play.
