I am having an outdoor country style, but formal wedding and am planning on having a glass mason jar with pillar candle as centerpiece. Only problem is, it looks a little plain with just the candle so I’m trying to figure out what I can put in our around the jar to spruce it up a bit without adding much cost. Any thoughts? I’m not very creative when it comes to that stuff. Thanks!!

If it is country style, why not get a little hay to lay around the candle? You could also use rose petals, but hay seems more outdoor country wedding.

Just use aquarium rocks/pebbles or hos smooth oval stones. You can even ge them at the dollar store, and if you need more dollar tree has a website where you can get large quantities and have it sent to your closest store.

Get a wreath and put it around the candle, and have ribbon streamers fanning out from it and hanging in every direction, hanging down with the table cloth. Add small figurines in between the fanned ribbons, like pigs or cows to match the country theme.

maybe find small grapevine wreaths that will fit around the jars & use Rose Hips inside the jars. You can buy bulk Rose Hips at sfherb.com here’s a link http://www.sfherb.com/store/SearchStoreResults.asp

Rose Hips are REALLY country…you wouldn’t need a whole lot, maybe enough to fill an inch or so high around the candle. Then when you’re done with them, they can be scented with oils, etc. for potpourri.
