How does that sound for a centerpiece? I’ve seen candles inside a hurricane glass with sand inside around the base of the candle, but how about rose petals? I won’t need sand or anything to stabilize the candle, since I already have the glasses, and they have a flat center for the candle to sit on.
Oh, and the candles would be 6" tall, and I’d only put in enough rose petals to go up 2" or 3", so they wouldn’t be too close to the flame.
Also, I have ordered some ivy from my florist (10 strands for !) that I was going to put around the base of the hurricane glass.
The ivy would be several inches away from the base of the hurricane glass, so if the glass is about 5" in diameter, the circle of ivy would be about 10-12" in diameter. There’s a little space in between the glass and the ivy.
That sounds really lovely. I like the idea of the white and red mixed together. I think that will make a nice centerpiece because it will also still be short enough to not be in the way of people’s conversation. Good job!
It sounds lovely, but i’d sprinkle the rose petals around the outside.
Sounds very pretty!
sounds like a great idea to me. I’m sure they will be very pretty.
If you put ivy around the outside of the hurricane glass then you won’t see the beautiful petals inside. Also the heat from the candle will dry the petals out so they will have brown around the edges…….
i like it u could also pour water in the base or put colored or clear translucent stones with the petals. would add more reflection of the light.
Is this for a centerpiece for a wedding? It sounds gorgeous
but I would love to see it in person or a picture!!
Quite immagination for a centerpiece. You could come to Arizona and do my centerpiece for my 50th? Good job, good job!!!!
