My father and I are in great trouble. My name is Antonius and my father’s name is Augustus. We were once rich, able to buy our own clothes and our own food. That all changed in a matter of minutes. My father loaned money from a bank and we told them we would pay them back after two years or so. Business was going great the first month, but after that business slowed down and we would rarely sees a customer. Then one day a family came in. The only thing I would remember about them is that they were really wealthy and the daughter was very beautiful. The father’s name was Caecilius, the mother’s name was Genvilla and their beautiful daughter’s name was Lauri. They bought everything that was left over from the shop. But we sold it for less than the regular price. My father promised them that if they buy everything for the shop that we would give them discount. Then one day the bank people came and stopped by they wanted the money that we owe them. We told them that we didn’t have their money yet; one of the men pushed me hard on the floor. They told us either to get the jewelry back or else they would kill us. Once it hit night we ran as fast as we could past the guards. Suddenly there was this hard thump, my father knocked down the candle holder. Everyone got up. I ran and hid behind a pillar. Suddenly Genvilla, started yelling thief, thief. All the guards came and started beating my father. I am stuck, should I run away and leave my father or stay here and help him.
