   I mean yes depending on what you mean by better. They most definitely burn cleaner and last longer so in that sense, yes. I think that other candles have more choice in smells and are often "prettier." I would suggest having both in your house, that way you get the best of both worlds.
   I’ll add a link to a site who has both.

   yes they are..they burn cleaner and last longer. You can find them on-line and at fine candle shops

   Battery operated candles are better. They can’t cause fires especially if you have pets and kids.

   Soy candles are made with wax made from soy beans. Soy is one of several types of vegetable waxes that can be used to make candles. Other vegetable waxes commonly used include palm wax and coconut wax.

   "Regular" candles are made from paraffin wax which is a petroleum-based product.

   What makes vegetable wax candles unique and better than candles made from paraffin wax is because they usually burn very clean (no black soot), release no toxic fumes and are made from renewable resources instead of a fossil fuel.

   Personally I like some of the candles made from other vegetable waxes or from a blend of 100% vegetable waxes because they hold the scent better than pure soy wax candles.

   You can find them at many candle shops, purchase them online, at craft fairs, at home parties or find someone who is a home-based distributor. There are many companies that make vegetable wax candles.
