I was thinking abt attempting to make candles for Christmas gifts? How expensive is it? I have a couple of craft stores nearby (Pat Catan’s and Michael’s) so I assume I can go there & get supplies or would you recommend somewhere else?

Have you done it before? Are soy candles easier/harder to make than regular ones? More expensive? I would like to give it a try. Possibly maybe soap making too.

Any ideas?

    I’ve been making candles for about 10 years. The supplies you buy at the craft stores are not worth it. Thats where i started..go online to candle and supply companies. Find one close enough to your home and you can pick up supplies instead of paying shipping cost. Soy candles burn really well if you keep the wicks trimmed. The scent you buy online is much stronger than in stores.
