How to remove the end of a candle?

We burnt down the advent candle over Christmas in a small candle holder. We now have a chunk of red wax stuck in the bottom of this holder.

Is there any way we can melt it and pour it out?

Or any other ideas on how to remove it?

is it a good sign when the candle holder broke while burning?

if somebody is burning a candle for a request and the candle holder broke while burning without anyone touch it…is it good sign?

What is the easiest and safest way to get old candle wax out of a votive candle holder?

I obviously don’t want to break the candle holder. But there is wax in the bottom from each of the candles that I have burnt in it. You can only burn a candle down so far, and then it won’t burn anymore. This is what is left over from the candles. But I want to clean the holder out, so I can burn new ones and not have this left over wax keep building up over time. What do you suggest? I only want tried and true methods that you guys have used yourselves with positive results. Because I don’t want to end up messing my candle holder up. Thank you!

Can anybody HELP me find this angel candle holder?

Two years ago I purchased an angel candle holder from the Cracker Barrel to give as a gift for my mother. The candle featured three (3) angels dressed in a white robe with golden wings and long flowing hair. There were five (5) miniture candle holders attached. It was about 8 or 9 inches tall 5 or 6 inches wide. My mother dropped and shadderred this beautiful candle holder and wants another one. I have searched the internet for almost 2 years (ebay, yahoo, google, cracker barrel, 88DB) and have been in about a dozen cracker barrels with no luck. Does anybody know which candles I speak of? Does anybody know where I can purchase one? Thank you!!

Why does one candle burn faster then the other?

I have two candles on each side of my entertainment center. They are both the same kind of candle, in the same kind of candle holder. They are both the same distance from an air vent and there are no windows open. The candle on the right burns twice as fast as the one on the left. Why?

Ok, I can't figure out how in the world it's possible to avoid a candle stick to melt?

all over the candle holder it is in. I mean the candle holder gets totally messed up and I have to spend an hour to clean off all the wax stuck on it now. Isn’t there a candle holder that is made specially for candle sticks so that the wax melting doesn’t go on the table and the table cover? It’s this time of year where we put a lot of candles around the house and my floors are all wax. Help…

Suggestions on a color for a candle holder?

Hi all!

I have a cute little candle holder a friend let me have when we were cleaning out her mother’s house, and while I have an idea of what to do with it, I’m just trying to figure out one thing. The main color.

Basically, I was originally going to paint it black, affix some fleur-di-lis wood pieces to the top 4 panels after painting them gold, then use part of a stencil on the top parts. I still plan on doing the fleurs and the stencil part, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to stain the wood a lighter, warmer color. It’s just a dark wood now, and it’s kind of ugly. Is it possible to use stain to make the wood warmer, or am I SOL on staining?

Here’s a pair o’ pics for reference:

One with flash, one without, which is closer to the actual wood color.

Thank you for your input in advance!
