Our centerpieces aren’t very large… They’re just hurricane vases (8" tall) with a white pillar candle and a red bow tied around the top of the vase.
We’re using rectangular tables and with the small centerpieces and nothing on either end of the table, it’s going to look very plain. I need some very inexpensive ideas because we’re on a tight budget.
We’re having a Christmas themed wedding and our colors are red, white, and silver. I don’t like the idea of rose petals scattered down the table either, by the way, it just seems to.. expected? I don’t know.
Anyways, please help!!

So my cousin offered to let me borrow the hurricane vases from her wedding, but it would be a few weeks until we got them. So I went ahead and bought the white pillar candles. Last week, we got the hurricane vases and they’re a lot smaller than I thought, which is fine.. It just threw me off. The candles I got are big and fit snug in the hurricane vases leaving no extra room for vase fillers.
Here’s a picture:

We’re having a Christmas wedding (colors are red and white with silver accents) I’m going to tie a red ribbon around the top curve in the vase, but the bottom is still so plain.. I thought about spraying fake snow around the inside of the bottom of the vase to just give it a frosted look, but the heat from the candle melted it
I have 27 days left until the wedding and my budget is very slim right now.. So something cheap!!

We’re having a Christmas themed wedding.. I already bought hurricane vases and white pillar candles. I originally planned on using cranberries as the fillers, but when I went to the store to look at cranberries, they were all beaten up and not very pretty. I figured it would probably be safe to go with something else.
I don’t want stones, pebbles, glass beads, etc.. For some reason, I just always thought those looked cheap (sorry!) I want it to stay in the Christmas theme. Any ideas? Pictures are great if possible!
Thank you!

We’re having a Christmas themed wedding and our colors are red and white with silver accents. We already have hurricane vases, but I’m not quite sure what to do with them. They are the kind without a bottom, so I planned on getting the little mirrors to go under them.
Option A) Red Pillar candle with twigs painted silver (maybe some holly berries on them) somehow wrapped around inside of the vase. But I’m not sure what type of twigs I could use that would be flexible. Any ideas?
Option B) White pillar candle with cranberries filling up the vase about half way up
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Those are just the only things I can think of.

Here it is 3 months past Christmas and 10 days before Easter, but I still haven’t put away the Christmas cards I received! In addition, I just discovered that my mate put the Christmas tree stand on the terrace in January, which still needs to be cleaned and put away. The neighbors across the street still have up their Christmas lights on the port-cochere and eaves.
So, do confess: Is there Christmas tinsel still in your carpet? Pine needles hiding in corners? Still burning the evergreen-scented pillar candles? Any remnants of Christmas whatsoever still lying about?

I love the scent of ‘Apples and Cinnamon’ I made 3 lbs of wax into candles for christmas, I added alot of cinnomon oil (a whole ounce) plus numerous melt ins for added scent. I was disapointed by the scent they produced when lit.. like none. But to smell the candle it’self was delightful. Any tips on what I could do to produce a better burning scent? ( From an Amature candle maker)

I am going to be making driftwood candle holders for Christmas gifts this year. They will most likely involve multiple pieces of driftwood that I would like to attach together but I am not sure the best way to do this without having nails or screws showing. Also, I am going to be adding small shells and stones to it – I was thinking of using a hot glue gun but I don’t know how well that will hold up. Any good ideas?
Here is somewhat of an idea of what I’m talking about…except I doubt I’m going to find a piece that beautiful so I will have to attach several pieces together to get the desired effect…

Decorating ideas for the top of a cabinet?
I have a really pretty entertainment cabinet in my Family Room. Currently, I have 1 large pillar and 2 smaller candles on pillar holders. I also have 4 tealights. I used to have pictures towards the back. I am looking for decorating ideas to mix it up. I have had essentially the same decoration for the past few years. I get most creative around the holidays and am also looking for ideas for that time. Last year, I decided to treat it like a mantle, and hung stockings on the side of the cabinet. I also tried to weave a Christmas type of garland around the candles but just couldn’t get it right. I could really use some ideas for everyday decorating and also for the holidays.

We burnt down the advent candle over Christmas in a small candle holder. We now have a chunk of red wax stuck in the bottom of this holder.
Is there any way we can melt it and pour it out?
Or any other ideas on how to remove it?

And I was wondering if it was okay to burn them? It has little apples and cinnamon stick [except they are on the side] If I burn it..can I burn it to the gel..
This is kind of what it looks like:
