I melted a cinnamon soy candle in my microwave to pour in my potpourri burner and now I can’t get the smell out. It smells great however I don’t want my food to smell like that. I tried a cup of vinegar for a minute and that made it worse. Please help!!

It has heat-resistant glass, and says hot tea, hot coffee, cold drink. It has the infuser, a lid and a wide flat bottom. It says "thermal and mechanical elevated resistance". It has symbols on the side, like snowflake for freezer, I guess, dishwasher (safe), microwave(safe) then a stove disk with a lightening arrow above it. Does that mean it’s stovetop safe (electric)?

I have some sconces that I used to burn a candle in and now the waxy residue and the remainder of the wick on the inside of the glass won’t come out. Any suggestions? I would like to have them look good again. Thanks.
All the wax is out, but there is the residue left. I will try both the freezer trick as well as the microwave trick and see what works best. My best answer will be awarded to the one that gives me a solution that works.

My little brother loves to stick things like twigs and spoons into hot wax and watching it dry. We’ve been collecting left-over wax in a glass candle jar so that he could heat it up later and play with it. Recently though, I heard from a friend that glass can explode in the microwave. Is this true? I think the glass is heat-resistant, since it’s made for candles, but I’d still rather be safe than sorry.
The candle jar I wish to heat up is from Candle-Lite. (www.candle-lite.com)

i am wondering if it is possible/ok to melt they gel for the candles in the microwave in the plastic bowl it came in or will i have to do it in a saucepan on the stove like the directions state. has anyone every actually done it this way. i really just don’t like the idea of doing it in a pan that i cook in because i will be adding dyes and scents to the gel as well.

I have several old glass candleholders that at one time did contain a short pillar candle. I’d like to resurrect them to use again, but there is old candle wax in the bottom and it’s too deep for me to get at easily. I thought about putting them in the microwave to melt the wax so I could pour it out, but there are remnants of metal wicks in the bottom and metal in the microwave is a no-no. Has anyone ever successfully done this, and if so, how? These holders are really pretty and have sentimental value, so I’d like to preserve them. They’re gorgeous when they’re lit.

I don’t want to scratch the metal using a knife on the outside, and the holes for candles are too small to fit a knife in. Tried wooden toothpicks, but not strong enough. I can’t put it in the microwave because of the metal. Any other suggestions?
