One of my candles fell, resulting in candle wax all over my walls. How do I remove the wax without scraping the paint off? Thanks

we have just purchased a house that has an outside deck made with pressure treated wood. the deck is about 10 years old. there appears to be a large oil stain from a candle on the wood. we are preparing the deck to be painted. the stain is about a foot in diameter. what will work to remove the rest of the wax and the oil it has left behind to ensure the paint will stick?

My little boy knocked over a candle I had on the candle warmer and is all over the wall. Green! Does anyone know how to get it off without scraping the paint?

The room had cooking smell in it, and I burned a couple of candles in the room. The darkbrown paint above the window–about five feet from where I burned the candle seems to have faded. I just had my whole home painted a few months ago and this is my favorite room. I’m not sure if it has faded from the candles, or if I’m just noticing it more now than when it was first painted.

When I got married a few years ago, it was an at-home wedding.

It was in my aunt's house and at Christmas time. I have always admired how she decorated her home.

After the wedding, there were several comments made about how much my wedding cost her and my other aunt.

My husband and I paid for the cake, flowers and rings. The only clothing purchased was my outfit () and my MOH (). She choose to purchase an outfit for her daughter to be a bride's maid (without my consent because the 6 year old was jealous).

The second aunt paid for the food. I went shopping with her and kept the cost down ().

All the other things (painting her kitchen, wallpaper, stenciling the walls, wall sconces and candles and more floral decorations) was their ideas and she, of course, kept them. There was also more decorations bought for her new 12 ft. Christmas tree.

The total comes to over ,000. They say that was the cost of my wedding. I say that was the cost of her re-decorating
her home.

(P.S.) My aunts stepped in because they promised after my mother died that they would give me my wedding.

I did not ask all the re-decorating. It was a family only wedding (around15-20 people). None of the flowers, decorations, or even the leftover food came to my house.

I loved my wedding but 7 years later I still hear about how much my wedding cost. Yet, I know for each of their daughters' weddings cost about ,000 to ,000. It's not the money ( and I know I am not their daughter so it is not the same). It is the comments that mine cost so much.

Who is right? Was the re-decorating part of the cost of my wedding or was the wedding an excuse to re-decorate?
Can the re-decorating be defined as a legitimate part of the wedding budget?
As to was she intending to re-decorate-yes and no. She wanted to and had been picking out paint and wallpaper samples for a year before I met my husband.

As to why it is still an issue- because it is with the aunts. As recently as this past weekend, one aunt listed all the things they paid for and how much it cost them. The general topic of weddings can not come up without hashing it over again but it is never mentioned how much the other weddings cost them. I feel defensive every time this happens which is about once a month.

I was burning a candle tart and somehow I managed to knock it over and it splattered all over my wall and on my carpet.

How can I get it out without ruining the paint/carpet?

My nephew knocked my candle warmer off the table all over the wall behind it. Question is how do you get it off of a textured wall without taking off the paint/texture. Goo gone didn't work.

I would like our room to be a sanctuary for my husband and I. We have 3 children who think our room is their room, I want to change that. I love wrought iron sconces, frames etc.we love candles, but what color of paint for the walls. I am a floral designer and some call me an artist, and yet I am at a loss. my brother and his fiance have candle wax the sits in holders on hot plates around the house, and my nephew who is 7 months pulled a cord when I wasnt looking and sent melted candle wax all down the wall, the back of the tv(but that didnt seem to do any harm) and down to the floor. I know I can scrape it off the floor, but is it possible to get it off the wall with out scrapeing off the paint??? please help!! thank you!

I went to blow out the candle, and I accidentally blew on the scented wax that I had melted. Splattered wax on the bathtub and wall now. How can I get it off the wall without ruining the wall and paint?
