I am looking to purchase about 9-15 layered pillar candles for a couple of candle trays I just bought. Where would I be able to view a large selection of layered pillar candles online? Any good deals out there right now? ;)

These are the candle trays I’m going to be using: http://www.athome.com/images//product/large/12300928_265x265.jpg

Color Coordinated Linens at the Reception?

My friend is getting married in a few months. Her colors are black and champage. She is using pink and orange in her bridal bouquets

Her reception site comes with color coordinated linens in her wedding package. What colors should she use? Her bridesmaid dresses are black. Her centerpieces are pillar candles and votives w/ pink rose petals.

The reception site is suggesting she use a tablecloth with a pink underlay and a white linens on top w/ pink napkins. (hope that makes sense). But, she doesn’t like the color pink they have. They do not offer any other color pink.

She was thinking about using a black underlay w/ a white tablecloth and black napkins. What do you think?

She asked my opinion, but I’m not sure what to tell her.
The reception is in the evening and is pretty formal. Not black tie, but everyone will be in cocktail/evening wear.

Do you like my writing? Does this have potentional to be a book?

As Chloe began typing an answer, Giselle’s light blue Punch Buggy pulled up in front of Starbucks and double-honked obnoxiously. Chloe exhaled in gratefulness as she snapped her Motorola shut with a vivacious snap. She had never been more thankful for having Giselle, her smarter, sexier, more popular sister. But trust me, all that was about to change. Chloe stared up into the stormy gray clouds with splashes of lime green blotches and shared her smile with god, “thanks” she whispered serenely. The whirl of grey and sea green splotches melted into the perfect storm. Chloe brought her glossy gold cross around her neck to her lips, giving it a heartfelt kiss.
Chloe walked up to the car and yanked open the front door,
“AHHH!” She shrieked as she jumped back. Surprise flickered behind Chloe’s blue eyes like Laura Vallon Crème Brulee pillar candles.
“What the hell is he doing here?” Chloe frantically demanded. She covered highly glossed mouth once she realized she appeared to be PMSING. Nevertheless, all fourteen year olds have a slight attitude at some point in their day, its called puberty. Andy sat in shotgun, squeezing Giselle’s diamond-coated hand as she re-checked her flawless reflection in the rearview mirror. Andy was Giselle’s lovesick boyfriend who was all over her curvaceous body every single chance he had; specifically since freshman year when he asked her to dance at Snowball, she never left his arms since. They slept together, ate together, studied together, went to movies together, drank coffee together, and have even shared each others clothes at one point. Neither of them could turn up anywhere alone without someone questioning “Where is he? Or, where is she?” As if its totally impossible they could spend five minutes apart.

I’m hosting large pizza party. Looking for appetizer and dessert ideas. No dessert pizza please. See details

There’ll be about 57 people. A local pizzeria makes gigantic party size pizza’s and we have used them in the past for getherings. This will be for my sons wedding rehearsal party (their suggestion) and at my home, indoors and out. I have a large home with about an acre of land so people won’t feel cramped. Any ideas how to make it really special? I thought I’d try to do a Tuscan Theme using beautiful Tuscan golds, poppy reds, olive greens, terra cotta and eggplant colors. Pillar candles for the tables.
Any better or additional ideas?????
ANOTHER QUESTION: Do you think chili pepper lights of the same colors, red, yellow, purple and green would look good hung outside. Should they be just one color probably red, or do you think the idea sounds tacky?

What are some other elements I can work in to my centerpieces so they look fuller?

We are using 8′ banquet tables. The tableclothes are going to be brown and white gingham on 1 row of tables, and brown fabric on the next row, etc. We have a runner that is kind of a grass netting material. It’s a khaki color. Then we’re using hurricanes with pillar candles for the centerpieces, and then a couple of candles with cinnamon sticks hot glued to the outside of them for the scent and decor. They will all be spaced out. What else could we use on the tables to make it look fuller, so not thrown together? We have a country-outdoors theme.
the candles in the hurricanes will be red, so that’ll give it a little color.

Centerpieces?

I’m the maid of honor in my best friend’s wedding in August. We were on the phone talking about some of the plans she made today, and mentioned that because I love arts and crafts, she thought I could make the centerpieces for the tables. She thought candles and ivy would be pretty and different than a regular floral centerpiece. Do you have any ideas on what I could do? I looked a little online and couldn’t find something I liked. I was thinking of maybe putting different sized pillar candles on a cake stand and maybe having the ivy around the base of the candles and flower petals sprinkled on the table. But don’t people usually like to take the centerpieces home? It may be hard to put something like that in the car as opposed to a vase with flowers unless I glue the candles to the cake stand.

Question concerning ceremony decor…?

I am getting married November 10… less than 3 weeks away. When it comes to ceremony decor for the chapel, I am stuck. My future sister in law is doing most of the decorating. She suggests instead of candlelabras use tall pillars with about 3 different sized candles on each side of the chapel. However, my mom insist upon it being the tradional candlelabras. I’m confused as to which will look better. I know what the candlelabras look like but I am not sure how the pillar candles would look and/or be arranged. I’m afraid if I choose pillar candles, I will hate them last minute. Then theres my fiance, that says do whatever I want but then gets an attitude if I choose something my mom likes. I am so stressed and confused over this. Your opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Other decor will include a large arrangement of callalillies and roses with various greenery in the center of the small chapel. The chapel is really pretty and we are going for a simply decor approach.

Ideas for a pretty table?

If you decorate your T-day table, what kind of touches do you like to put on it to make it pretty?

I usually tie napkins with twine and little silk autumn leaf & acorn embellishents, and put out things like fall colored pillar candles (in glass) set inside a grapevine wreath with autumn embellishments.

I have autumn leaf cloth place mats.

I’m looking to do something different. Maybe something a little less traditional and a little more whimsical.

Ideas and links to craft projects welcome.

Thanks

Would you use them or leave them for display purposes only?
