I’m using these vases filled with water, flowers, and glass beads with a floating candle for my wedding centerpieces. The water has tiny bubbles throughout the vase, and stuck to everything inside. I thought they might go away, but haven’t in a couple of days. Is there a secret to preventing these bubbles from happening? Thanks.

Our centerpieces aren’t very large… They’re just hurricane vases (8" tall) with a white pillar candle and a red bow tied around the top of the vase.
We’re using rectangular tables and with the small centerpieces and nothing on either end of the table, it’s going to look very plain. I need some very inexpensive ideas because we’re on a tight budget.
We’re having a Christmas themed wedding and our colors are red, white, and silver. I don’t like the idea of rose petals scattered down the table either, by the way, it just seems to.. expected? I don’t know.
Anyways, please help!!

So my cousin offered to let me borrow the hurricane vases from her wedding, but it would be a few weeks until we got them. So I went ahead and bought the white pillar candles. Last week, we got the hurricane vases and they’re a lot smaller than I thought, which is fine.. It just threw me off. The candles I got are big and fit snug in the hurricane vases leaving no extra room for vase fillers.
Here’s a picture:

We’re having a Christmas wedding (colors are red and white with silver accents) I’m going to tie a red ribbon around the top curve in the vase, but the bottom is still so plain.. I thought about spraying fake snow around the inside of the bottom of the vase to just give it a frosted look, but the heat from the candle melted it
I have 27 days left until the wedding and my budget is very slim right now.. So something cheap!!

I am trying to make wedding centerpieces and I bought a big vase and my plan was to put red bead type of things and then stick a cloth red rose in with it and then dump candle gel in it, but when I dumped the candle gel in it, the rose bled and the whole vase turned red, so you cant see anything but red. How do i stop it from bleeding red. Is there something that I can protect the rose with.

We’re having a Christmas themed wedding and our colors are red and white with silver accents. We already have hurricane vases, but I’m not quite sure what to do with them. They are the kind without a bottom, so I planned on getting the little mirrors to go under them.
Option A) Red Pillar candle with twigs painted silver (maybe some holly berries on them) somehow wrapped around inside of the vase. But I’m not sure what type of twigs I could use that would be flexible. Any ideas?
Option B) White pillar candle with cranberries filling up the vase about half way up
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Those are just the only things I can think of.

I’m the maid of honor in my best friend’s wedding in August. We were on the phone talking about some of the plans she made today, and mentioned that because I love arts and crafts, she thought I could make the centerpieces for the tables. She thought candles and ivy would be pretty and different than a regular floral centerpiece. Do you have any ideas on what I could do? I looked a little online and couldn’t find something I liked. I was thinking of maybe putting different sized pillar candles on a cake stand and maybe having the ivy around the base of the candles and flower petals sprinkled on the table. But don’t people usually like to take the centerpieces home? It may be hard to put something like that in the car as opposed to a vase with flowers unless I glue the candles to the cake stand.

To splurge or not to splurge on flowers, that’s the question!
Last wedding that I attended, there were few flowers…and quite honestly, I didn’t care!
They had the bouquet for the bride, bouquets for the 8 BM, I honestly don’t what type of flowers were they, that show you brides-to-be that most people don’t pay attention if they hybrid roses, chrisantetums, lilies or orquids…who cares!!! All I remember is that they were white and purple.
In the church, they had pew decoration only on the family’s pews and at the last pew at the entrance. They had 2 medium size arrangements at the altar.
At the reception site, the BM placed their bouquets at the guest book table and the gift table… it looked lovely and it’s a good idea to use the flowers again and maximize your investment.
The centerpieces were a large wide open round vase, inside it was a smaler vase. The smaller vase had sand and a white pillar candle. The larger vase had water and fresh long stem purple flowers
They were small flowers in a single stem. It look lovely with the water and the sand, they were shells scattered around the center piece.
There was only one large arragement at the guest book table, there was a tall wide open vase, it wad shells at the bottom and teh fowers were tall purple flowers, and hydrangeas.
What I like the most about it, is that the center pieces were creative and beautiful and that they didn;t go over board with flowers, centerpieces or favors. It was just right.
Ladies, spend your money wisely and invest were it really matters.
Good luck
Ps/ Thank you to everyone that has welcomed me back, bubs, sylvia and thuskey and every one else. : )
I agree with you. Flowers are a waste of money. In a wedding that I attended in California, they spend 6k on flowers and had the guests eating bow tie pasta, salad and rolls…hello????????
To niskier33…are you blind?????? the question is "to splurge or not to spluge on flowers" HELLO??? Did you came short on the brain distribution?

Want to use candle holder/vase about 3" with glow necklace and LED ice cube. Curious if the dry ice will break the glass, if so then I’ll have to nix the idea of course. Any info is greatly appreciated!
