I am wanting to start making wax tarts and have been researching things online. I do have a few questions though. About how many tarts will 1 lb of wax make. How much scent will i need? is it smart to buy scents and product online? is it better to go to a candle supply store? anything anyone can tell me or any other information or good websites would be great. thank you.
Also i have read that walmart sells blocks of wax for candle making. Is it alright quality? Is candle wax candle wax no matter what?

i just started making candles and scents and wax is very hard to find cheap, can any one help me? i look on ebay already.

I have some left over wax from some Chinese candles purchased at Walmart. I purchased some wicks online thinking I could melt the wax and make a new candle with the leftover wax. However the resulting candle flame would be very weak. I assume either this would be a problem with the wicks used or the use of left over wax. Are there different kinds of wicks? Different kind of wax? Any constructive recommendations?

I was figuring on putting a big red pillar candle inside a large hurricane glass for some centerpieces, but I can’t seem to find pillar candles that aren’t scented!!! Are scented ones ok? There would only be 4 or 5 in the whole room (about 75 people). Or does anyone know where I can find unscented red candles? I’ve tried Walmart, Target, Michael’s, Sears, …

hey guys, im making a cell project in science, and for the cytoplasm i thought that candle gel would be cool, so anyone no where i could get some…in about a week at the most, if online, or anywhere in the stores where it would be? like at walmart or whatever,

I have a ton of tart waxes, regular candles (med. and large from Yankee Candle) and a few bags of tea lights from walmart in various places of my home. I was looking for a Candle box holder like the one below but can’t figure out where to look. Could someone help me out?? Thanks

Curtains: I have Sheer Choclate curtains that reach the floor.
Carpet: I have medium beige carpet.
Chair: Blue, Pink, Orange or Green.
Accents: What scent candles? Color of candles? White frames with whate color behind photo? Nature or friend photos? High, eye level or low placement on wall. Should I have wall sconces for candles? TV or no?

I have a Glade McIntosh soy candle I bought at Walmart. I don't know what it is but at the top of the wick there are tiny disk-like ash blobs of black residue. There are no instructions on the candle that addresses trimming the wick after the initial trim (they want the wick to start off at 1/4"). Thanks.
