We bought some cheap Halloween candles and had them burning in the living room window. They melted over the holders onto the wall and the carpet. The crappiest of it all is that one of them is black. Any suggestions?

  1. Beer and TV Olympian says:

If it is a natural wax, turpentine will disolve the wax. Then shampoo and water will remove the turpentine.

Get a towel and lay it down over the candle wax and then take an iron and iron the towel (make sure not to let the iron touch your carpet because it can burn it) and eventually that will get it up

GO WITH THE OLD TOWEL METHOD… KEEP MOVING THE IRON AROUND AND TRY NOT TO GET WAX ON IRON.. I USE TOWEL AND PAPER TOWEL ON TOP OF THAT … YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HOW WELL THIS WORKS… USED IT ON A FRIENDS CARPET A MO. AGO AND SHE WAS SHOCKED… NO STEAM JUST THE HOTTEST TEMP ON IRON…. AND KEEP IT MOVING.. GOOD LUCK…
