I would have to agree, you shouldn’t do both it will end up looking awkward and not make a lot of sense. The sand is an awesome idea but it is general meant for outside. If you really want to do the sand…maybe make that a seperate thing during your reception speech. Just an idea, but I would prob leave it out all together.
I personally think that if it is indoors you should the candles, the sand is used more at outdoor wedding because it is darn near impossible to light a candle outside on a windy day. so I would just do one or the other, it is more of a act of 2 becoming one so you really couldnt do both. Sorry!
