*Place a silk (or real) flower bud (to match wedding flowers)along w/some confetti, rock, floral marble, potpourri-whatever goes with your decor on the mirror.
*Take the glass and turn it upside down, placing it over the flower bud and other items-leaving some of the added items scattered on the mirror outside of the glass.
*Purchase some small glass votive holders or mini hurricanes that are the same diameter as the bottom of the glass. Use a hot glue gun and secure the votive to the bottom of the upside down glass.
(Don’t worry, the hot glue can be peeled off later and will not cause any damage to the glass.)
*If it looks like it needs "a little something" where the votive is glued onto the glass, simply tie an organza, silk, or thin tuelle bow around that seam.

I’ve done this before w/ wine glasses and it was beautiful. People didn’t notice at first that they were actually wine glasses until during dinner—I got a lot of compliments on them. Margarita glasses should work just as well!
They’re nice because you get the "illusion" of a taller centerpiece, you still have the candle light, but it’s not obstructing anybody’s view across the tables.

Just play around with it, but hopefully this gives you some idea or direction of an option….
    Have fun!

Maybe if you some how elevated the glasses you could put flowers around the bottom, or more tea light/votive candles. The margarita glasses sound awfully small…it might be difficult to create a centerpiece around them. Who came up with this idea and why?

You can get small ‘candle rings’ at a craft store in silk flowers to put the bottom of the glass in to.

You could put some foam in the bottom of the glass along with some of that ‘water gel’ in the same color, then take silk carnations or daisies in her colors (one color per glass) and place them in real tight, put a short straw in at an angle and you have a ‘flower margarita’, like this: http://ww22.1800flowers.com/dataset.do?dataset=10361&cm_cid=whd%23

I would say find smaller vases or floating candle bowls at a craft store. If she does not like the look of the glasses, then go for something more traditional so the bride is happy. You can find small little bowls at craft stores relatively inexpensive. If she does not like the look, she will still not like it with a bunch of flowers tacked on, ya know. Ask your daughter what she wants to do.
